The Siberian branch in Tomsk, launched in 2013, is focused on creating conditions for local contemporary art development, as well as synchronizing modern cultural processes in Siberia with the international context of the current creative agenda. The branch continues to develop the project for education throughout Eurasia, which started with the establishing of Tomsk University that served as a basis for regional identity. Here in Tomsk, shaping a high quality modern cultural environment for the student community is a matter of great importance, as well as research and artistic interpretation of Siberian history and culture. The branch has established a close collaboration with Tomsk universities, cultural and educational institutions, NGOs, international projects and entities.
One of the crucial matters for the branch is comprehending cultural heritage in the modern context (mUkA: Art Warehouses public art festival). The project Artist, What Are You?, established in 2018 with the support of Arts and Culture Institute at Tomsk State University, presents original media content.
