Krog, Arnold Emil
Swan Dish. 1889

The dish showing a swan is a striking example of Arnold Krog's original painting. It can be regarded as one of his finest works in the late nineteenth century. The large scale of the representation lends the composition a monumental quality. The silver frame with a seaweed motif was made in 1899-1908 at the Moscow branch of the well-known jeweller's firm K.E. Bolin.
